PEACE BE STILL

FATHER   GOD MAY YOU BRING PEACE TO THE BROKEN AND CONTRITE MIND. MANY ARE CALLED BUT FEW ARE CHOSEN. I PRAY THAT GOD KEEPS HIS HAND ON THOSE WHO ARE GOING THROUGH TRIALS IN THEIR  LIFE. HOLD ON -IT WILL BE WORTH IT ALL IN THE END. MAY THE LORD PROVIDE FOR THE WEARY SOUL. MAY THE LORD DELIVER YOU FROM PAIN., DISTRESS AND DISCOMFORT. JESUS IS OUR COMFORTER . MAY HE SEND HIS HOLY SPIRIT TO DIRECT YOU , GUIDE YOU AND PROTECT YOU FROM LIFE WOES AND BLOWS. MAY YOU ALL HAVE UNSHAKABLE FAITH, THE LORD IS THE ROCK OF SALVATION. WHEN WE ALL GET TO HEAVEN. WHAT A DAY OF REJOICING THAT WILL BE. WHEN WE ALL SEE JESUS. WE WILL SING AND SHOUT VICTORY!

10. Peace, Be Still (Matthew 8:23-27)

One of the best known stories in the Gospels is that of Jesus’ calming the storm on the lake. Just from a simple reading of the few verses we would rightly conclude that the account demonstrates Jesus’ authority over the elements of nature, and, the disciples weak faith for being afraid. The story comes in a series of reports about Jesus’ authority in various areas—sickness, demons, death, and sin. It provides another significant part to the portrayal of the King: He is not just a king over the people of Israel; rather, He is king over all nature as well.

23 And when he was entered into a ship, his disciples followed him.

24 And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep.

25 And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish.

26 And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.

27 But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!
